  1. I think that Obama's most important issue to deal with this year is the nuclear threats from Iran and North Korea. I think this is the most important issue because he talks a lot about it and he doesn't want to risk being attacked and having to send military troops to those countries. I think that Obama will be able to accomplish somme of the goals he's set but not all of them. I think he will not be able to accomplish getting all of the troops out of Afghanistan by next summer because it him about 2 years to get the troops out of Iraq. I think he can accomplish making the economy better and less people will stop losing there jobs. Obama does have a lot of issues to deal with in the next year but I think he will be able to accomplish just a couple of his problems

  2. I believe president Obama's most important issue to deal with this year would have to be the nuclear threats aswell as the wars. The president has to make all the final choices and already has too much stuff on his hand to be dealing with which could cause some serious stress for him. This could impact his choices tremendously.

I do not believe president Obama will accomplish everything he has set out to do. All presidents say they are going to do this or that, but they don't. They have other more important things to be dealing with then the economy. No president is perfect, neither are we. They have too much things to do and too little time to do them, so they can't accomplish everything they set out to do.

  3. I think Obama's most important issue to deal with this year is the suspicion of Iran building a nuclear weapon. Although the oil spill is definitely a major issue, the weapon could be worse. The U.S. has already been fighting the Afghanistan war for many years, so this issue may bring up another war. Who knows who Iran will attack if they really are making this nuclear weapon. What if they attack China, Russia, or even us? We will be forced to fight back and this may lessen the number of troops in Afghanistan. As for President Obama accomplishing everything he has set out to do, I do not think that will happen. The economy alone is bringing up too many issues. On top of that, Obama has to worry about the oil spill, Afghanistan, Iran, and perhaps Israel. He has too short of time to figure out all of this. Unless he gets reelected, I don't see how he is going to juggle all of these issues.

  4. I know that President Obama is unlikely to accomplish all of his goals because of all the problems he has to deal with. However this being said he has a chance to succeed in at least in half of his goals but i cannot say for certain because he might not do a good job or there might just become more and more problems he needs to get out of the way, such as that oil spill that happened in the gulf which was an unseen dilemma or the 9/11 attacks of 2002.
Problems arise crises occur it's just something that happens. They're just random events just waiting to happen. other things that could happen are hurricanes, tornados, black outs, and EMPs (Electric Magnetic Pulses). All these things could happen and could delay if not destroy attempts at rebuilding the economy and other things. I am not saying these things will happen I'm merely stating that it could happen.
Right now however the biggest issue to deal with is the economy because an economy (usually) reflects on the nation. If a nation has a thriving economy it generally is a powerful prosperous country. On the other hand, if it has a poor economy it almost always is weak and corrupt. I'm not just talking about a single perspective of economy I'm talking about from local to global. now I’m not saying all the others are not important but merely it is one of the more important ones. money is only good for what money can buy it's basically just store credit on a large scale and the dollars worth is shrinking a lot however, there are other things besides money in an economy such as natural resources like gold or timber. these this is just my opinion an educated guess and does not mean that it is definitive.

  5. 1. I think Obama's most important issue he has to deal with is the nuclear arms with Iran and North Korea. They could be going against regulations on making nuclear weapons, which could be used against other countries.

    2. I think Obama can accomplish all of the things he has set out to do because he is a strong leader and has the drive to do it. I feel that he wants to help fix those issues that he faces and make them right.

    1) I think the most important issue to deal with is the nuclear threats. Not only does this endanger the very existence of America but possibly other countries as well, not to mention it is horrible to the well fare of the humans as a species. People are looking towards ending wars, not starting them... especially nuclear ones. Anyway, the point is that if Obama can put his attention towards this problem, and solve it, he will save America, and possibly Israel's population, and hopefully use this to negotiate and/or stabilize peace with Russia, China, and North/South Korea.

2)It might be possible for President Obama to accomplish his goals. Maybe. If he can stabilize the problem in the gulf, then America as a whole country will be able to focus on the core issues, letting Obama be able to prioritize the other issues, with the public at his side. Even if he can only fix half of them by the time the next election day comes, considering the situation he's been dropped into, he should be able to get reelected, and solve the remaining problems, plus any other problems that may occur at that time. It just all depends on if the gulf problem can get fixed fast enough. If he can't resolve the problem in a timely matter, then that could mean that it could be too late to fix the other problems that he's set as his goal. It could go either way...

    1. What do you think is Obama's most important issue to deal with this year? Why?
Answer: in my opinion Obama’s most important issue to deal with this year is the Afghanistan concept. I think this because if the U.S. reinforces Afghanistan it will be stronger and defend it. Then we can withdraw from a stable country that can defend itself, being one step closer to world peace.
    2. Do you think the President will be able to accomplish everything he has set out to do? Why or why not?
Answer: I think Obama will not be able to accomplish all tasks this year but maybe in two years. I think this because all over the world we are having trouble, an example, “a top national security aide says.”But if the Israelis really do strike, it will make the other crises we face look comparatively minor.”’ This state’s if Israel attacks we will be gone and there are too many triggers for this so we have to be careful what we want to target.

  8. I think that President Obama’s most important issue to deal with this year is the nuclear activity in Iran and North Korea. I think that this is the most important issue because uncontrolled, these nations could hurt the U.S., our troops, and other countries that they dislike or disagree with.
I don’t think that the President will be able to accomplish all of his tasks he has set out to achieve this year. I believe this because of the number of large changes he is trying to accomplish at once and because many people in his own administration don’t believe he will be successful by the end of the year. For these reasons, I don’t believe President Obama will be able to accomplish all of his tasks he has set out to achieve this year.

  9. 1. What do you think is Obama's most important issue to deal with this year? Why?

I think Obama’s biggest issue is The Middle East conflict: Israel and Iran could get in a war that spreads to other countries. Iran may already have nuclear weapons they could use; they are trying to build a nuclear bomb for sure. It is scary to think one bomb can annihilate an entire city.

    2. Do you think the President will be able to accomplish everything he has set out to do? Why or why not?

No, I do not. There is just too much to do. There are too many problems to solve in the two years he has left as President. The best he can do is try to work on them and make progress.

  10. I believe that the most urgent issue President Obama must get under control in this year is the economic crisis. The other problems, such as nuclear threats from Iran, North Korea, the rising economical power of China, keeping peace with Israel, and the war in Afghanistan, are all problems regarding foreign countries. The first thing on his list should be our own economy because I think that if we are not stabilized in our own country, then how can we address problems that regard other countries? Once Obama brings the USA’s economy back under control, it will be much easier, in my opinion, to get the other issues under control. The United States must maintain its status as the world’s leading economy to gain the power necessary to win outside problems. Right now, we are in a weak stage. If we cause even more problems in with other countries, that is the same thing as a cat trying to fight a tiger. We must be strong within ourselves, to have strength and win over others.
After reading about what Obama’s goals are, and what he plans to accomplish in his four-year term, I can honestly say that he will not succeed. There are way too many problems to handle and deal with in just 4 years. If he plans to do all that in his term, he will have to address many problems at a time, and that will take away the concentration and the focus that is needed on each individual problem. He must take it one step at a time. With so many things to do and each problem requiring a great amount of time to solve, he will have to work much harder than many former presidents. Such as the nuclear threats from Iran, in order to deal with that, he must take careful steps and plan diligently. All those problems together, along with, as I suspect, many more, will take up much more time to deal with than a mere four years. He should solve each problem individually, as many as he can, and let later presidents deal with the remaining, for I do believe that he is not capable of handling so many troubles in the time he is given.
Regardless of how things turn out, I think the next few years will be very interesting and that this period in the history of the United States will forever be remembered as a time of hardship and hard work, that, I know, we will overcome. The sun always comes out after a storm. We must keep our heads up, never lose hope, and keep faith both in ourselves, and our country.

  11. I think Obama’s most important issue to deal with this year is the oil spill and the nuclear threats from Afghanistan. Oil is one of our natural resource and the oil spill is polluting our water. The oil spill is killing animals and its wrecking the fishing industry. The Nuclear threats from Afghanistan is another important issue because we have been there for many years and it might cause another war also a lot of people are dying out there. I do not think President Obama will fix the problem in Afghanistan because its going to be diffcult to fix a problem in another conutry but I do think he will fix the oil spill because there trying different things like putting different caps on the spill and trying out powders and stuff.

  12. 1. What do you think is Obama's most important issue to deal with this year? Why?

I think Obama’s most important issue is the oil spill that is ruining the South East of the US. I don’t think it will be fixed for a long time because it is just like the spill in 1989 the Exxon Valdez oil spill was as bad as the golf oil spill. We need to keep working as hard as we can and maybe the oil will be gone in about 2-3 years. This is what I think.

    2. Do you think the President will be able to accomplish everything he has set out to do? Why or why not?

I think Obama will accomplish most of what he needs to accomplish. I think Obama will do very well this year.

  13. 1) I think that Obama's biggest issue to deal with this year is the nuclear threats from the different countries. The reason why I think that this is Obama's biggest issue out of the many issues he has to deal with is because he has to both focus on stopping the nuclear threats, but at the same time deal with the war in Iran. Obama needs to focus on these nuclear threats so he can take advantage of this opportunity to both save fellow countries, and help him strategically to help him in fulfilling his goals.

    2) Based on the articles I have read, I sadly do not think Obama will accomplish everything that he has set out to do. The reason that I do not think Obama will accomplish what he has set out to do is because there are just too many things that he needs to focus on before getting to most of the things he said he would accomplish. Obama needs to focus on both the war, the nuclear threats, and the economy before he can focus on his other goals he has set.

  14. I believe that Obama's largest concern is the war in Afghanistan. The war seems that it could continue on forever. If the resistance can continue to convince civilians that they are doing the right thing, the American soldiders aren't aloud to shoot them. The other problems such as the oil spill and nuclear threats can't besolved without the money and people to help with them. If we send to many soldiers to Afghanistan, then our defenses are left open for a nuclear attack.
I don't believe that Obama has fulfilled any of the things that he set out to do, including the removel of troops from the middle east. He was starting to work on the task ,but then decieded to sent 100,000 more. I agree with Richard Haass who claims that the only way for peace is to make a deal with the Taliban in order to remove all the troops by 2011. If we don't remove them and start to focus on ourselves, then our economy will plumet. We won't have the strength to fight the terrorists. We must do something, and do it fast.

  15. I think that President Barack Obama’s main issue to deal with this year (and for the rest of his tenure) is the nuclear threats in North Korea and Iran. And also to find out if these are just nukes that are being talked about, or real live nuclear threats. I think that it is a bad idea to keep Americans away from Iran and select locations in North Korea because if nobody is there to keep America safe, the Iranians and Koreans will just have more time to enforce the plot, and terrify the world. I do not believe that Obama will not accomplish everything he is set out to do because one person cannot do such a great deal of things in a mere two years. The Gulf of Mexico is on its way to getting better, and the war in Afghan is still raging. The nuclear threats are difficult to combat, but require a lot of focus and also good timing. So summarized, I think that Barack cannot accomplish so much in so little of time.

  16. I think Obama's most important issue is dealing with the overflowing threats of nuclear development as well as other wars including Afghanistan, Iran, and another gigantic problem: the oil spill near the Gulf of Mexico. There are also other problems like allies and even U.S citizens that blame the president if he or she messes up. These problems must be the worst because of how crucial and critical of what may happen if these threats came true. As for the president accomplishing what he set out to do, I don't think Obama will achieve what he set out to do. The reason being is because he has to face all the different problems that occurred first and that would be too much to deal with before he can try to accomplish what he set out to do.

  17. I think Obama's most important issue to deal with this year, is the economy. We are close to having something close to the Great Depression. The bad economy is making nearly 10% of all Americans lose their jobs. Obama should try to make more jobs for the people that don't have any. I don't think Obama will be able to accomplish everything he wants to do. Since he wants to stop wars in Afghanistan, and Iraq, plus do something about the oil spill, and the state of the economy, i think Obama has too much on his plate right now. I doubt he will be able to any of these things at all.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Out of all the issues President Obama has to deal with, I think the most biggest issue is the oil spill near the Gulf of Mexico. One of the reasons why I think that the oil spill is a major problem is that it is threating the lives of the aquatic animals that live near the Gulf of Mexico.Even though I think thats a major issue, I think that President Obama won't accomplish everything he has set out to do. Obama as a president has to worry about lots of problems like the wars that had been going on for the past 9 years in Afghanistan and in Iraq. Also, to top that all off he has to worry about nuculear weapons that could threaten the whole entire nation. Its just too much for our president to handle, thousands of our military soliders died and North Korea and Afghanistan are refusing to negotiate with him.I don't think he will complete everything he set out to do but he will at least try.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think the recent oil spill off the Gulf of Mexico is the most important issue Obama has to deal with this year because it is the biggest and worst oil spill ever to be recorded in history. We have limited oil, and with billions of gallons spilling into the ocean, it is not helping our environment or economy. The oil is polluting our waters and killing ocean life. Fishermen along the coasts are affected by this because they cannot catch and sell seafood that is covered in oil. Many markets along the coasts (like Louisiana) are not selling their seafood due to the fact that people do not want to buy oil-contaminated foods. The oil spill is still not fully contained, making this issue the worst of the year.

I think the President will be able to accomplish almost everything he has set out to do. So far, he is in a great start, staying in line with his plans for the year. He has accomplished a lot while being in office, such as withdrawing American forces, and I think that many improvements can be done in the following years.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I believe that president Obama has a lot to worry about this year. I think that the most important issue he must deal with is the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The spill is not just going to be cleaned up overnight. It is going to take years to completely clean the entire gulf if we work hard enough. Although stability and safety are issues in the Middle East, the oil in the gulf can spread to the Atlantic Ocean or the Caribbean Sea and not only be a problem for Mexico and the United States but for many other countries as well. I doubt that Obama will be able to accomplish everything he has set out to do unless he is reelected. He has to fix too many problems in not enough time. I believe he will be able to accomplish most of the issues he has to deal with.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think Obama's most important issue he has to deal with this year are the nuclear threats from Iran about building a nuclear weapon. Personally, I think the threat is the most important problem because nobody knows much about it. They said that there was suspicion of the nuclear weapon because they are still producing nuclear fuel. Also, the people who live in Iran will answer very few questions about the possible weapon. I do not think Obama will be able to accomplish everything he has set out to do. In my opinion, there are just too many issues that the president has to deal with. In addition to that, very few presidents, if any, have ever been able to achieve all the goals they set for themselves, and everything they needed to accomplish for this country.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think Obama’s most important issue is he nuclear weapons! I think the nuclear weapon is more important because we could get bombed any moment. That is something that we have to be very cautions for and it needs to be taken care of ASAP! Another thing is Iran is being very suspicious and will not answer any questions, so that tells us that they could be up to something that we would not suspect.

I myself do not think that he is going to succeed at everything that set to do but has defiantly done some great progress! And if he were to get reelected then yes I that he could great things for our country!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I believe that the most important issue Obama has to address is the proliferation of nuclear arms in North Korea and Iran. North Korea is still technically at war with South Korea. Plus they have tested nuclear weapons and ICBM's, which are the actual rocket of nuclear bombs that enable long distance strikes. Iran, on the other hand, only has preliminary nuclear material but should not be overlooked. They are not friendly with Israel and as the President of Iran said, he want to "wipe Israel off the map". Overall I think it is an issue not just for us but also the world.
I believe Obama can't fix everything on his plate. He has three major history altering problems: Afghanistan, nuclear weapons worldwide and the national economy. Afghanistan is going to be a long war if we decide to stay. I believe this because they are even less civilized then Iraq. Nuclear weapons are going to be a global problem until a bigger worse weapon comes along. The economy is a problem that will hopefully not last for that long but I don't believe Obama has the time with only possibly 6 more years to solve these problems.

  24. I believe that Obama will not be able to accomplish what he has set out to do for this year. There are just too many things he wishes to achieve and too little time to accomplish them all. From a political stand point of view, I think President Obama should focus on the economy and the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The reason I think he should do this is because if the president wants to be re-elected for a second term he has to do something that affects the voters the most. A way to fix this problem is to create more jobs and get people back to work. Also, as far as the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, this tragedy has had an impact on the wildlife along our coast and it is what supports many people as commercial fishermen in this part of the country. If the president wants to be re-elected he needs to show he is taking action to deal with these issues quickly and effectively because these are the issues that will affect voters the most.

  25. I think that President Obama's most important issue this year is the nuclear threats from Iran and North Korea. He continues to talk with these countries but they are still producing nuclear bombs. If we don't stop them then our country and the soldiers who fight for us will be in danger.
I do not think President Obama will be able to finish what he has set out to do. He wants to build a stable country in Afghanistan and be able to withdraw 100,000 troops by next summer. The Taliban does not want to negotiate peace and are killing our troops. The Taliban continue to fight against us helping the country build a stable government and preventing it from happening by summer 2011.

  27. I think that Obama’s most important issue to deal with this year is the issue of nuclear threats. For example, the North Koreans killed forty-six people by torpedoing a South Korean warship. If the North Koreans have stronger weapons, there can be many more problems in the future for our country if we ever are North Korea’s target. Also, Iran’s nuclear weapon is a big nuclear threat for the U.S., and depending on how powerful it is, Iran could become one of the world’s most powerful nations. Besides this, I think that President Obama will accomplish some of his goals, but not all of them. For example, I think that he won’t be able to deal with the rising China because over time I think that China will become stronger. Besides China, I think that he won’t accomplish some of his other goals because some of his other goals are really big to accomplish, and he might not have enough time to accomplish them.

  28. 1.I think that the toughest thing Obama had to deal with the year was the oil spill. It caused so many problems for the United States. It dramatically affected the gulf o mexico. It resulted in the death of so many animals and the ones that didn’t die lost their homes to oil that seeked into the golf. The oil spill lasted for so long that it effected more than just the gulf, it effected the world.
2.I do believe that Obama can accomplish all the things he has set out to do because he is a man of his word. He always has made it through so many things in 1 year that I do believe he will accomplish all his goals.

  29. Our president, Borock Obama, has many challenging tasks. His daily agenda right now is full of long hard enduring tasks. From the oil spill on the east coast, to the war in the Middle East. However, I believe his hardest challenge is the war in Afghanistan. Every day he has to answer the same question, should he pull the troops out or leave them there. Also with the Taliban strengthening it only adds more pressure and frustration. The president also is working on cleaning up the gulf after thee devastating oil spill. The president is aware of all of the challenges he has to overcome but I don't believe he will succeed in them time of his presidency. If he gets reelected then he has a better chance to overcome all of the challenges. Right now I think it is important for the president to address all of his challenges as best as he can.

  30. I think that one of Obama's most important issues to deal with this year is that of the Gulf oil spill. I think it is this year's most important issue because the wars have been around for several years, and will probably continue several years from now, but the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico just happened in the beginning of this year. I think this an important issue because it is happening right now in our own backyard. The people of the Gulf, especially Louisiana, have suffered many natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina. Now that they have started rebuilding their homes, they are hit with another problem that threatens their natural resources and their everyday lives.

I think Obama will accomplish everything he set out to do, because otherwise, he wouldn't become president and make the promises that he made. Even though he has faced more problems as a President than any other, Obama has already made great progress in helping to save our economy from a recession and he has put good focus on the war in Afghanistan. It will be interesting to see what he does to fix the rest of the problems in the rest of his term as president.

  31. In spite of other important dilemmas facing the nation today, there are a few that stand out from all the others as president obama's greatest challenges. The first, the problem that lies in China,is perhaps crucial to the survival of all the United States efforts in the world. With the U.S. over eight-hundred billion dollars in debt, China has an almost complete strangle-hold on the U.S.'s economic agenda, which in turn could cripple other foreign issues. If President Obama doesn't get a hold on his relationship with China, the rest of his presidency could be completely meaningless. All of the U.S.A.'s plans, from afghanistan to North Korea, could be put to a halt without regaining our economic independence from our trade partners.

The most important secondary problem Obama must tackle is, of course, the situation of North Korea. With their nuclear program at full steam ahead, they could have a nuclear arsenal within years. Despite the U.N.'s sactions, North Korea has remained undaunted in their goals. If the president can not bring North Korea to a negotiation table, they may gain the strength to disregard all of the U.N.'s wishes. And it appears that now, despite what many had hoped, the regime will not end with Kim Jong Il. Kim Jong's Il's son, Kim Jong Un, appears to be trained as a candidate for his father's succesor.
Without an end of the North Korean regime in sight, there could be some tough negotians and tougher consequences in store for President Obama.

With so many issues crowding Presdient Obama's mind, its hard to believe he'll be able to handle all the problems laid before him. But, with an experienced panel and swift judgement, he may just pull it off without a re-election.

  32. I think Obamas most important issue to deal with this year is nuclear threats because Iran continues to make nuclear weapons and produce nuclear fuel and they refuse to answer any of our many questions about the suspected plans to build a nuclear weapon. Another thing Obama has to deal with is Afghanistan and if they decide to "wipe Isreal off the map" because Isreal is like our backup plan and if they are no longer able to help us then we don't have as much force to go agianst Iran, Afghanistan and maybe even North Korea.

In my opinion i don't think Obama will be able to accomplish EVERYTHING he has planned because the economy is getting rough and if he wants to transport 100,000 men to Afghanistan he needs to be ready for some complications.

  33. Obama's most important issue to deal this year would probably be the nuclear threats from Iran and North Korea. If they were really creating nuclear weapons the world would be at risk.So if we don't start being nice or start doing something about it North Korea and Iran could destroy anyone they want.I don't think Obama will be able to accomplish everything he has set out to do because of the nuclear threat from Iran and North Korea. If he did try to accomplish his goals America would be at risk with other countries.

  34. I think the most important thing Obama needs to deal for is the oil spill, because the oil spill is very dangrouse. The oil spill can kill people and do lots of things that are bad for the enviorment. I think that obama has the capacity to deal with all the problems in 4 years because he cares about his country. And he is very good president and he has the time to deal with them because if he fix all the problem the world would be better. My opinion is that all the problems obama needs to fix are very big problems but they are important to fix because it can make a better place. And if help obama will have more time to fix them so lets help him to be a better person and care for the enviorment.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think Obama's most important issue to deal with this year is the plummeting economy because many people every day are losing their jobs, no longer buying houses, or desperately trying to sell their houses. People today are worried about if we are going to fall into another great depression, and if it gets any worse, than our country is going to panic. I believe that Obama is trying to do whatever he can to get more jobs for the people, but is having a hard time because the country is in debt for an outstanding total of 12 trillion dollars, and as the author of the article stated, "even some Democrats in Congress are balking at spending more to create jobs".

I do not believe the president will be able to accomplish everything he has promised to do because one top of the Afghanistan war we have been fighting in for a long time, we have issues popping up here and there. For example: Israel finding Iran a threat; China could possibly take us over in the near future; North Korea bombing South Korea's ship; a possible great depression; and most recently, an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. So as you can see, Obama has a lot to do in little time. I think that Obama would only be able to accomplish everything if he got reelected in four years.

  36. I feel that President Obama’s most pressing issue would have to be the war in Afghanistan. It has been going on for nine years now. From additional research I found that more than 1,270 U.S soldiers have lost their lives to the Afghan war sense the 9/11 attacks in 2001. This year has been the deadliest yet, and it hasn’t even ended. To me, it should be a key priority for the white house because people’s lives are being lost daily. This does not just affect them but their family’s lives to.
I would like to see Obama be successful in increasing the funding of public schools, improving the job crises, preventing any possible nuclear attacks, improving our situation in the Afghan war, and finishing oil spill cleanup, but unfortunately I have my doubts as to all of this being possible in the span of less than two and a half years. I think though, that I would be satisfied if he could merely fix one and get on the track of fixing another.

  37. 1. I don’t feel that there is really one issue that is the most important. I think that every issue is an issue and should be considered just as evenly as all his other issues. For example, he has the oil spill to worry about, and the unemployment rate is nearly at 10%. The issues are almost just as important as the next, and Obama is trying his best to make sure everything is getting worked out.
    2. President Obama may not be able to accomplish everything he wants to as the president. As they said in the article “He is keeping the Great Recession from turning into the Great Depression”. That itself may take his entire time as president to accomplish such a task as that. Not only is he worrying about the Recession, but we as Americans have to worry about the unemployment rate, and weather or not our troops in Afghanistan are coming home safely. Juggling all these issues is a huge task and unless he pulls off a miracle, or gets re-elected, his dreams may not come true.

  38. I think that Obama's biggest issue to deal with is the belief that Iran is building an underground nuclear weapon. In my opinion, the oil spill is a big issue in our country because of how much damage it is doing to our oceans and beaches, but a nuclear weapon would do much worse. There are other nuclear threats from other countries but the thought of them already building a weapon is a bigger picture. With this centuries technology and smarts we could have no idea how big of damage this nuclear weapon could cause. If we could fix the nuclear weapon problem then I think he should work on the oil spill because leaving in it the hands of the same company that has made the oil spill happen several times isn't a good idea. In my judgment, I don't think that Obama will fix all of these issues. I think that he will fix the oil spill and make progress in the suspicion of Iran building a nuclear weapon. I think it is almost impossible to fix all of the problems he has on his hands before the new election. Unless he gets reelected, I think our country would still be in the economic crisis with a new president. I think our country needs to start working together, or we could be in more trouble then the great depression.

  39. I believe that President Obama’s most pressing issue this year is nuclear threats from Iran, because if they actually have nuclear bombs being created and if they bomb us it would start a nuclear war. In 2009 Iran had been creating a nuclear power plant to fuel bombs. While Iran was producing nuclear fuel and was refusing to answer any questions about it, North Korea was torpedoing a South Korean ship named The Cheonan, killing 46 sailors (North Korea is denying all charges) Many believe that the attack was an effort to strengthen the credentials of the son of Kim Jong 11 as the next dictator. As for the Obama administration accomplishing everything they have promised to do, I don’t think that will happen because with all the foreign issues that he deals with on a day-to-day basis he still has the oil spill and the economy to deal with. He just won’t have the time to all of the things he has set out to do.

  40. I believe that Obama's number one consern right now should be the nucleur threats from Iran and North Korea. The results if we dont solve this problem could effect the whole population of the United States due to more troops leaving, and more troops dieing.
I myself do not believe that Obama will be able to take on all the tasks he has set out for himself in the next 2 years. Why? He has so many things that he needs to accomplish that all take time and effort, but he has such a short amount of time to do it. Unless he gets re enlisted, I do not believe he will accomplish all the tasks he has set out for.

  41. I think that Obama’s most important issue to deal with this year would be our relationship with China. A few months ago they attacked a warship with a torpedo which killed a little over 40 soldiers. The article also shows that they could easily overtake the U.S. in a few decades and become the world’s largest economy. Plus, a lot of people believe that the jobs moving to China is a big reason for our country’s loss in unemployment.
On the other hand, I think that the President will accomplish most of his goals, but not all of them. Some of the goals he is setting are unreasonable to accomplish in such a short amount of time. For example, he wants to build a stable country and pull out troops in Afghanistan by next summer. There are a lot of crisis’s going on right now, all of which are important, but he may not have enough time or money to do so.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I think Obama’s most important issue to deal with is the nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran. If they did attack, that would cause a whole new war, plus from all the money being spent fighting back and recovering from damage would bring the economic level down to rock bottom. The nuclear attacks would also cause a lot of deaths, which is already happening in Iraq and Afghanistan. I do not think Obama will be able to accomplish everything he is set out to do because some things are more important than others and will need more attention. He will have to solve all these problems while having to do midterm elections. Trying to talk to Iran and North Korea is very difficult and will be, so this process of negation will take awhile. Also, China’s large economy could take over the US, and sharing the control will be a very hard and upsetting thing to do. Withdrawing troops from Afghanistan will be difficult, as that raises threats to attack the United States, which is a very risky thing to do. The low economy, to me, is the Obama’s least problem; all of the other problems could also affect the economy. So I think Obama should focus on the problems that will cause the most damage.

  43. 1. What do you think is Obama's most important issue to deal with this year? Why?
I think Obama's most important issue to deal with this year is Nuclear Threats from Iran and North Korea, I say this because if they decide to make us their target, they will stop at nothing to defend their country while defeating ours. They have been working on a Nuclear plant since late 2009, and is expected to produce more nuclear fuel. Which can lead to energy for nuclear weapons....I also think that the military needs to be prepared for an attack because of these clues, they should be very cautious about foreign travelers and suspicious actions.

    2. Do you think the President will be able to accomplish everything he has set out to do? Why or why not?
I personally, do not think President Obama will accomplish everything he has planned to do because he is setting long-term goals for a short period of time. I believe he is going to try his hardest to commit to his words. Another reason I don't thing he will be able to accomplish everything he set out to do because of the pressure from the media. I hope he try's his hardest to commit to the most important things and gives it his all.

  44. President Barack Obama has many thing to deal with this year. Still recognized as a new president, many challenges have been put on his shoulders. The things he has to worry about is the B.P. oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that must cost him as much as $37 billion dollars and the nuclear weapons being built in Iran and North Korea that can have much damage to our country and our society. But in my opinion, the most important issue he must deal with is the oil spill that was in the Gulf of Mexico.
I believe that the oil spill by B.P. is the most important issue he must deal with because its affecting us world wide due to fuel being expensive, and also because he has to spend so much money on the spill during our economic crisis. I also think it is important because the oil spill had killed many animals and fish that were living in the Gulf of Mexico.
In my opinion, I do not believe he will be able to accomplish all of the objectives he is set out to do. I think that because the president has many issues he must worry about, both being the oil spill and the nuclear weapons, and also many problems that come everyday. I also believe that President Obama does not have enough time to complete every single one of his tasks.

  45. I believe that the nuclear threats from Iran and Korea are the most dangerous problems Obama has to face. If are countrie isn't able resolve the problem of them continuing to create nuclear weapons. They will wipe out all of are soldiers, their weapons would be too dificult to hold off. This could be a similar bombing to 9/11 if we don't resolve this problem. This is a very scary problem we could have if we dont resolve this quickly. I do believe that Obama can partially resolve the problem of multiple people losing their jobs. This has also been a common problem that we have had to face, but I believe that Obama will be able to add more jobs that unemployed people can get hired for. I believe that will once and for all solve the problem of unemployment. I also think we can come to neogiations with Iran and North Korea to stop creating nuclear weapons. But I am scared of the possibilitie of them attacking us.

  46. Barrack Obama has many different issues to confront and try to solve during his term as president. Our economy's situation is enough work for four years as is, but he also has to face our unemployment rate and try to make more jobs available. Just recently, the oil spill in the gulf has presented even more challenges for our forty-fourth president including saving an endangered species. And even still, there are many more problems in this nation, we have yet to tackle. In my opinion, the biggest crisis and the most important issue is the war in Afghanistan. Though, there are other issues are extremely important, I think that this particular issue is more substantial because both soldiers and citizens of Afghanistan are dieing overseas in the middle east, this is the most important at this point.

I do not think that the president will overcome all of the problems he set out to. Although, his goals were made clear, the issues that this country has are too many to subdue in just four years. If he were to become president for another term, he may be able to accomplish the main problems that we have. I hope that our complicated issues will eventually be resolved.

  47. I personally think that the most important issue that President Obama needs to deal with this year would be the nuclear threats from the Iran and North Korea. They are continuously creating more and more nuclear fuel, and will not give out any information about the weapon that they could be producing. Our President has promised that Iran would not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. Iran and North Korea have been, behind closed doors, creating a plant that has been buried underground, that will result in even more nuclear fuel. Sorrowfully, Iran will not talk, and answer the questions that pend. The North Korean torpedoed a warship belonging to the South Koreans, which killed 46 sailors. They have yet to take responsibility, but all though that being so, there is strong evidence proving them wrong. My opinion is that President Obama will not be able to achieve all that he has intended to accomplish. Between the oil spill, the war with Afghanistan and Iraq, the Nuclear Threats, and other pressing issues, I do not think that he will have enough time to attend to all of the issues at hand in the rest of his term. Obama could possibly do what he has set out to do if he does another four year term as President, but only have the time that he has left, I do not think it will be enough time to end the war, extract the oil from the polluted oceans, and get some answers from the North Koreans and Iran. My personal opinion is that he will fix up the majority of the oceans, but the near extinctions of the pelican could be a problem. I think that Obama's idea to start pulling out troops from the war starting next summer will result in the war becoming more near to the end. I think Obama will get close to for filling his goals, but not finish them in time before his time has run up as President.

  48. I think Obama's most important issue is the Gulfs oil spill. It is effecting the wildlife, the way of life for the people living on the Gulf Coast, the tourism, and fisherman's lively hood. This horrendous event will take years to recover from. I feel that the gulf is the most pressing issue because it is going on now, were as we don't know for sure if the Iranians will use their nuclear capabilities in the future. I don't think Obama will be able to accomplish all of his goals because they each will take a lot of time, so depending on if he gets re-elected, I don't think he will get them all finished in time.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I think Obama's most important issue to deal with this year is, the nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran. Not only does it put us, America, in risk it also puts other countries in it too. We have been wanting to end the wars not to start them back up again and that is exactly what this is going to do. Even thought the oil spill is also a big issue, this one can be bigger.
I think president Obama might be able to accomplish everything he has set out to do if he puts the time and effort into it. I know president Obama doesn't have all the time in the world to get through all of this but, if hes the leader we know he is, he might be able to pull through. It also varies on many, many things. If Obama worries about the oil spill first and tries to fix it, we will have one thing off our chests and start working on all the other things he has us set out to do. He is a strong leader and has the strength and confidence to finish what he has set out.

  50. Barrack Obama has many challenges he needs to face as a president. On top of all the economy issues, he has many more issues to deal with. I think the biggest challenge he needs to face is the nuclear threats from Iran and North Korea. We don’t have very much information about it and it puts our country in a lot of jeopardy and has the biggest effect on us. I think President Obama will accomplish some, but not all, of his plans he has set out to do. He has many goals he wants to achieve and only so much time. He has a lot on his plate for his term, I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t do it all.

  51. Personally Obama’s most important issue to deal with this year is the nuclear activity from Iran and North Korea. I think it is the most important thing for our president to accomplish because the tensions between us and the two other countries are increasing. Also I believe this issue is going to be one of the most ongoing problems to deal within this year and maybe longer.
I agree with most of my class mates in the fact that I don’t think that Obama can accomplish everything that he set out to do, the only think that I could see him doing in this presidency is cleaning up the gulf. The only way I could see him doing anything else is if he got reelected, if he did I think that during that time he could fix the economy or at least bring it back to normal. The main reason I don’t see him accomplishing everything that he set out to do is that he planned too much in to little time.

  52. President Obama has many things that have to get done quickly. It must be hard, but I believe that Obama’s most important issue that needs to be addressed right away is the chance of more lost lives.
There are nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran, and a terrible war in Afghanistan. First off, we suspect that Iran is scheming an evil plan that involves nuclear fuel, a threat of more lost lives, and a handful of mysterious secrets. North Korea is also a threat to loss lives. In North Korea, nuclear tests occurred, and the launch of Cheonan, a South Korean warship, killed 46 sailors. And lastly, the war in Afghanistan has to come to an end. Families’ want their children, spouses, and parents back. The loss of loved ones has to stop now. We need to do something to protect our people.
I only believe the President will be able to achieve all the things he said he was going to do if he thinks of a clear and organized plan and does everything step by step. So, his eyes and time should be on the nuclear threats and war while the other problems like the rise of China and the oil spill will be given to other advisers.
The lives of many are in the hands of one decision. I believe that if we make one good decision, it could lead to another. We need to have faith and hope for our country and not cause more problems than there needs to be. As a team, as country, as a family, we can do it.

  53. So far this year Obama has been dealing with many problems going on throughout his presidency. Such as the Oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the nuclear problem happening in Iran, as well as the tension going on with North and South Korea, the relations with Russia and China ,and one of the most talked about issues going on is the unemployment rate going on in the U.S. I think that Obama’s most important issue is the nuclear problem with Iran. The reason why I think that is because if Iran keeps on producing nuclear fuel and refusing to talk to the U.S government then we could have a serious issue. Also ever since the Iranians nuclear program started the Israeli government says that “It’s a threat to their existence,” and Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says that he wants to “wipe Israel off the map.”
Also I do not believe that President Obama will be able to do everything he is set out to do during his presidency unless he gets reelected in 2012. He has simply overloaded himself with problem after problem after problem during his presidency. If he wants to be America’s president again then he better get himself organized and take one step at a time for each problem.

  54. I believe that President Obama’s most important task to accomplish is fixing the oil spill. First of all, the oil spill isn’t just affecting the people. It is also harming the animals and land where the oil has been released. Secondly, it is adding to the recession. All of the fishermen that live off of selling the seafood from that area are now deprived of a job. Lastly, I think the issues in the United Stated should be resolved before conquering the foreign complications such as the nuclear threats. Therefore, I believe President Obama’s most important job is the fix the oil spill. Personally, I do not think that President Obama will be able to accomplish all of these tasks. Some of the problems are so time consuming, he may not even get to all of the them. Also, he is not working on these tasks all the time. He additionally has a family to take care of, speeches to perform, conferences, and many other tasks to do that can take out of his main jobs. Overall, I predict that the president will not be able to accomplish all of his goals from lack of time.

  55. I think Obama's most important issue to deal with this year is the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. This is most important because it is effecting everything that lives in the ocean. When animals and other natures of the water suffer from this, the food economy does too. Like buying and selling shrimp or fish, for example. So, this problem effects everyone and could make animals in the water scarce.

I also think president Obama will accomplish everything he has set out to do because that is why he was elected in the first place. In the article, it sounded like he is handling things well negotiating and communicating with other countries. Though I don't really think it will be smooth sailing in fixing up the economy, I think he will improve all the problems.

  56. President Obama’s biggest issue is the ludicrous national debt. Everything else boils down to this one factor, and reducing or eliminating it could solve several problems. First of all, our economy is in the toilet. Second, China is competing with us for the largest economy. Third, unemployment is still a problem. After WWII the American economy was the strongest it had ever been. We made everything we needed, and unemployment was (compared with today’s circumstances) low. This is because we were making everything for ourselves. We were generating money by exporting more than we imported as China is now. Now, we’re importing everything and losing ridiculous sums of money. Another contributing factor is President Obama’s unchecked government spending. He’s spending money we don’t have on frivolities, and day care programs for the unemployed (witch is incentive for staying unemployed. Think about it, free money). He’s also spending obscene amounts on creating new jobs, which are only temporary, instead of getting the old ones back from China.
The President will not be able to complete everything he has set out to do. He has allies in the senate and the house because the democrats control both. In November, if the republicans gain control of one or both of the houses, he will have fewer friends in congress and it will be harder for him to push new bills through.

  57. This year, our nation has encountered many issues including the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, our economy in a recession, rumor of nuclear weapons being produced in Iran, and many more. In my opinion, the most important issue that Obama has to deal with this year is the uncertainties of Iran producing nuclear weapons. With this possibility, Iran could be endangering any country, including our own. If this dangerous weapon takes on the war, this could limit the amount of troops Obama has already sent overseas to defend our nation, resulting in even more troops being sent out.

Obama definitely has several issues on his hands and I don’t think it is likely that he will resolve all of them. For example, promises of Iran not being allowed to possess nuclear weapons and goals to remove U.S. troops from war may not come true, due to evidence already found that degrade those possibilities. Although the President has been able to stall the recession and unemployment rate from becoming worse, many more important issues press forward and need to be resolved as soon as possible. Even with my doubts, I still hold hope that Obama will adhere to his promises and stabilize our country.

  58. Obama needs to worry on terrism with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan he’s trying to pull out of Iraq when we need to finish or else all that work will have been done for nothing. And the B.P. oil spill is the worst of all Obama needs to tell them to clean up their mess and pay for their damages of the gulf coast. It’s not their water. It’s like breaking some ones window and not paying for the damages. He will never promise what he promised to do unless reelected witch from my view won’t happen. He failed with the health bill and he’s trying to pull out of Iraq and go to Afghanistan. He doesn’t know what he’s doing and needs more experience.

  59. Although I agree with Kristan when she claimed, "I think Obama's most important issue he has to deal with is the nuclear arms with Iran and North Korea.", I believe that the war is a worst crises. Yes the nuclear weapons can be used agianst other countries, but the people aren't going to launch nukes for no reason. Obama will also not be able to solve this problem for the future since he is already focused on so many other problems.
When Liam stated, "I think Obama’s most important issue is the oil spill that is ruining the South East of the US.", I did believe he addressed an important topic. However, the oil spill will be resolved after a few monthes. The war in Afghanastan can propose a larger threat if it is not resolved fast. Though the oil spill is affecting the enviorment, many people are already working to solve it. Obama has already started to work on the oil spill and still is so I belive it will be accomplished.

  60. Kristen A. said, I think Obama's most important issue he has to deal with is the nuclear arms with Iran and North Korea." I strongly agree with this sentence. I think that economic problems are a big deal too but not big enough to kill innocent americans and potentially demolish cities. Kristen also said, I think Obama can accomplish all of the things he has set out to do because he is a strong leader and has the drive to do it." I do not believe this is true. I think Obama has shown that he is not very good at controlling a country and getting tasks done. I'm sure that he will not get all of these things done because he has to much to juggle.

  61. Max L. of period 4-5 proclaimed, "I think Obama's biggest issue to deal with this year is the nuclear threats from the different countries." I 100% agree with this statement. The president still needs to worry about the economy, but I also feel the nuclear threats have too big negative potential to disregard.

Also, Zackery V. of P. 7-8 said,"1. I don’t feel that there is really one issue that is the most important. I think that every issue is an issue and should be considered just as evenly as all his other issues."I don't really agree with this statement, because there are some topics bigger than others. The oil spill is big, but not as impacting as the nuclear silos in hostile countries like South Korea and Iran.

  62. There are a few comments on here that I would like to point out as ones that caught my attention.
7-8 Lisa V. commented... "The first thing on his list should be our own economy, because I think that if we are not stabilized in our own country, then how can we address problems that regard other countries?" Now, even though in my opinion, President Obama should focus on the nuclear threats, I have to admit that this is a very good point. If our economy isn't in its best form, how can we focus on things involving other countries?
Now for the other post that caught my eye. Bradley F. 7-8 commented..."I think the problem Obama should focus on is the nuclear activity in Iran and North Korea. I think that this is the most important issue because uncontrolled, these nations could hurt the U.S., our troops, and other countries they dislike or disagree with." Thank you!!!!! That is exactly what I think! If they can actually build a nuclear weapon, that could be a major threat to the entire world. If Obama can focus on these issues, then America can sleep without as much worry, not to mention other countries.

I agree with Max L. when he said, "The reason why I think that this is Obama's biggest issue out of the many issues he has to deal with is because he has to both focus on stopping the nuclear threats, but at the same time deal with the war in Iran." because they are both very important and hard to deal with because he has more than just those two to deal with. Which may be realized that he might not be able to accomplish everything he has set out to do. Like morgan H. said, "I do not think that the president will overcome all of the problems he set out to. Although, his goals were made clear, the issues that this country has are too many to subdue in just four years."

  64. I agree with Harrison's argument however I don't agree with "...Obama’s biggest issue is The Middle East conflict...". Sure it could spread however two things: first and foremost if they attacked the U.S. (or their allies) their whole country would be turned to sand. The other thing if they do attack Israel the Israeli government has proven multiple times that they are capable of military action because they are so organized and capable of quick, decisive strikes. In short I do not see it as an imminent threat but it is a threat nonetheless, so it should be dealt with swiftly before it gets out of hand. However in short I believe that the economic crisis is much more serious than the situation in the Middle East, and basically what happens if a problem remains unaddressed for too long. Which brings me to my next blog; Lisa's blog was well thought out however at the end when she wrote "Regardless of how things turn out, I think the next few years will be very interesting and that this period in the history of the United States will forever be remembered as a time of hardship and hard work, that, I know, we will overcome. The sun always comes out after a storm. We must keep our heads up, never lose hope, and keep faith both in ourselves, and our country." which I don't entirely believe for look at the Romans which we are (like it or not) incarnations of them probably said something similar. We are the same in probably every way they had an empire we too have one. they were always involved in foreign government affairs. We too are deeply involved in foreign government. there is a saying "what comes up must come down" and "the bigger they are the harder they fall". The Romans were utterly destroyed sure Rome (the city) is still here but not the imperial Roman empire that has faded entirely into inexistence. This being said I think that we still have a chance to avoid imminent destruction by hard work, wisdom, and training.

  65. I agree with Kyla who commented, “I think that Obama’s most important issue to deal with this year is the suspicion of Iran building a nuclear weapon.” I agree with Kyla because if Iran really is building a nuclear weapon it could hurt the U.S., our troops, or other nations that they dislike or disagree with. This could break out another war with anyone.
I disagree with Natalie W. who commented “Out of all the issues President Obama has to deal with, I think that the biggest issue is the oil spill near the Gulf of Mexico. I disagree with Natalie W. because even though the oil spill is a big problem it doesn’t lead to any more problems, unlike the nuclear activity in Iran and North Korea. If Iran or North Korea is building nuclear weapons it could hurt the U.S., our troops, or other countries. This could also lead to war.

  66. Rachel M. said, "I think Obama's most important issue to deal with this year is our relationship with China." Although I do not think this is the most important issue, I still think it is a reasonable one. China is one of our few allies. Our country cannot afford to have yet another country turn against us. With all of the problems our country and president are dealing with already, I highly doubt we have the ability to tackle another one. I think keeping a good relationship with our allies would be a close second on the priority list. Zackery V. brings up another good point. He said, "I don't feel that there is really one issue that is the most important. I think that every issue is an issue and should be considered just as evenly as all his other issues." I agree with Zackery for a couple of reasons. First of all, we can't let ANY issue be overlooked. Although I still think the nuclear weapon in Iran is still the most important, if we dismiss any other issue for being less important, than our country will suffer the consequences. Second, if Obama focuses a little on all of the issues, then he might be able to get more done than if he only focused on one. I know some people don't want to face the truth, but our country is in dire need for help.

  67. After reading many of the comments posted from the initial responses of students, I find that Patrick B.’s thoughts are very similar to mind, and he includes well-constructed ideas and explanations behind his opinion. I especially agree with his view on how the economy of every country reflects on that power of that nation. “Right now however the biggest issue to deal with is the economy because an economy (usually) reflects on the nation. If a nation has a thriving economy it generally is a powerful prosperous country. On the other hand, if it has a poor economy it almost always is weak and corrupt. I'm not just talking about a single perspective of economy I'm talking about from local to global” (Patrick B.). This is exactly what I was trying to get across in my previous comment. If our nation’s economy is thriving and prosperous, that means our country is powerful and wealthy. With wealth and power, just think of what we can do. In a world like this, where wealth is the foundation for success, what can’t money buy? We will be able to earn back the respect of other countries, and strengthen our relationships with other nations, too. As long as we are still the supreme nation of planet earth, and we have the sufficient amount of support and reverence of other countries, how can a country like Iran attack us? We must start within ourselves first. If not, then our own weakness with soon become our worst enemy.
*I don’t really know much about nuclear weapons and what they are, but I was just wondering…What if the United States starts secretly building our own nuclear weapon? We won’t use it; we’ll just have it ready for defense if Iran really plans to attack us and start a nuclear war. That way, we’ll be prepared and not totally unarmed.
Another comment that stood out to me was the post of Nate D. He holds a very thoughtful perspective of our nation’s biggest problems. I can’t agree more with him on the fact that Obama is ridiculously just handing out “free money” to the unemployed. “After WWII the American economy was the strongest it had ever been. He’s also spending obscene amounts on creating new jobs, which are only temporary, instead of getting the old ones back from China.” Obama must get a grip on this country’s economy. Giving the unemployed people money, even if they don’t work, is just exactly why people are staying unemployed. Why work your butt off for a paycheck of $500 a week, for example, if you can just sit at home and get $200 a week just for being unemployed? Maybe that’s why so many people are still unemployed. I also agree when Nate says that we are not making everything for ourselves anymore. If only we would stop importing things from China, and do the work ourselves. Perhaps we wouldn’t owe so much debt then as we do now. We can’t rely on other countries to keep us thriving anymore. We must create more jobs in a limited amount of time, and get the unemployed working, while also bringing back jobs that have transferred to foreign countries like China. Only we can save ourselves.

  68. "I think Obama’s most important issue to deal with is the nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran. If they did attack, that would cause a whole new war, plus from all the money being spent fighting back and recovering from damage would bring the economic level down to rock bottom. The nuclear attacks would also cause a lot of deaths, which is already happening in Iraq and Afghanistan."
Yes, Delaine that is right same thing happened in World war 2 when the Enola Gay and the Bockscar dropped the Nukes ( Fat man and Little boy) the economic level dropped for the Japanese.

  69. Taylor K. said “I think the recent oil spill off the Gulf of Mexico is the most important issue Obama has to deal with this year because it is the biggest and worst oil spill ever to be recorded in history.”Although the oil spill is a big crisis, I don’t agree with opinion because we have pretty much cleaned all of the oil up and I think that the nuclear weapon crisis is a bigger issue because we could end up losing more Americans if we don’t take the issue serious. Although I like Taylor’s opinion on the oil spill I still not convinced that it is the most important issue that Obama has.

Ivan G of Per. 7-8 said “Obama's most important issue to deal this year would probably be the nuclear threats from Iran and North Korea. If they were really creating nuclear weapons the world would be at risk.” I agree with Ivan because we could die if North Korea or Iran really wanted to attack us and we couldn’t defend ourselves against them. I also agree with Eric 4-5 because he said “Also I believe this issue is going to be one of the most ongoing problems to deal within this year and maybe longer” because Obama won’t have enough time to get to everything and this issue with nuclear weapons could be one of the last on his list before he’s out of office and then it will be the next presidents problem and he might also postpone the issue.

  70. I agree with Lisa V. from period 7-8 when she says that our countries economic crisis should a main priority for our president. Lisa said, "The other problems... are all problems regarding foreign countries." I agree with her that because the economy is a local problem it should be a key priority for President Obama.
I disagree with Christian W. from period 7-8 when he said, “It might be possible for President Obama to accomplish his goals." I do not think that Obama or the white house is capable of completing all of the current problems in the rest of President Obama's set term.

  71. Most people thought that the nuclear threat is the biggest challenge facing President Obama. Like many others, Kristin said:

"I think Obama's most important issue he has to deal with is the nuclear arms with Iran and North Korea."

Taylor and Hanna and many others agreed. There was also a lot of concern about the Gulf Oil Spill and the war in Afghanistan.

Most students were pessimistic about how successful President Obama will be with all the challenges he faces. Almost everyone agreed with Shane, who said

'I do not believe president Obama will accomplish everything he has set out to do."

With all the problems he has facing him, it seems that everyone agrees it is too much to hope that he will fix everything in the next two years.

  72. I disagree with Chandler who commented "I think Obama's most important issue to deal with this year is the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico." I agree with Chandler that it is one of Obama's imoprtant issues, but the nuclear activity in Iran is a much bigger deal than the oil spill because the nuclear activity may hurt our troops over in Iran. Maybe it might even, but danger in the U.S.and it may hurt many others.
I agree with Bradly who commented " I think that President Obama’s most important issue to deal with this year is the nuclear activity in Iran and North Korea." I agree with Bradly beacuse if Iran is really building a nuclear weapon it could put all of our lives in danger including all the troops in Iran. I hope that it doesn't get to that point in our world because we all ready have enough to deal with so far.

  73. There were several comments that stood out to me as the most spot-on insights upon the president's challenges. Firstly, i agree with 7-8 Nate D.'s comment "President Obama’s biggest issue is the ludicrous national debt. Everything else boils down to this one factor, and reducing or eliminating it could solve several problems. First of all, our economy is in the toilet. Second, China is competing with us for the largest economy." If president Obama does not fix the economy soon, all his plans may be completely put on hold. Secondly, i agreed with 7-8 Savvanah D. when she said "Obama needs to deal with this year would be the nuclear threats from the Iran and North Korea. They are continuously creating more and more nuclear fuel, and will not give out any information about the weapon that they could be producing." If serious restraints are not put upon Iran and North Korea, It could mean disastrous results for not just the U.S., but the rest of the world.

  74. I agree with 7-8 Kyla said, about how the threat of Iran building a nuclear weapon is very important, and is one of Obama’s most important issues, along with the oil spill. Also, I agree with 7-8 Patrick B, when he wrote,” I know that President Obama is unlikely to accomplish all of his goals because of all the problems he has to deal with.” Though, I disagree with what 4-5 Kristen A. wrote,” I think Obama can accomplish all of the things he has set out to do because he is a strong leader and has the drive to do it.” I sincerely doubt he will be able to accomplish even one of the things he has set out to do. I also completely agree with p.7-8 Shane R. when he wrote,” I do not believe president Obama will accomplish everything he has set out to do. All presidents say they are going to do this or that, but they don't.” all in all, I don’t think anything Obama said, about the oil spill, the nuclear threats, or the economy, is going to happen anytime soon.

  75. Jordan said that" the toughest thing Obama had to deal with the year was the oil spill." I see Jordan's point, but i think his main issue is the nuclear threats because that could kill Thousands of innocent people. The oil spill has cause deaths to many animals but I think Thousands of people over rule hundreds of animals. Im defiantly not saying animals lives aren't important. They are ,but would you rather loose your brother or sisters' life, or some stray cats' that you found. Also, I personally don't think Obama will be able to accomplish ALL of the goals that he has set out to do because he only have a few years left and the things he set out to do are long term goals. He might be able to accomplish his goals if he gets re-elected for a second term.

  76. I agree with Danielle, She said that "Nuclear Threats from north Korea and Iran is the biggest issue Obama has to deal with." I say this because the threats could destroy our country. Physically and emotionally.
I also agree with Danielle's opinion that"Obama will accomplish some, but not all, of his plans he has set out to do." Because he only has a few years left of his term and some of his goals will take longer than he will be president.

  77. I totally agree with Lisa V everything she said on her post was true like ''I can honestly say that he will not succeed. There are way too many problems to handle and deal with in just 4 years'' shes right about that i dont think obama is going to fix all the the problems in just 4 years like in Afhanistan i dont believe hes going to fix that.
I also thought Patrick B Post was really interesting and great i agree with him about the "Right now however the biggest issue to deal with is the economy'' he is so right about that if obama can fix the economy then i can probably see him fixing other issues but for right now i really dont see him fixing alot of things in 4 years.

  78. I agree with Chandler D. when she said, “I think Obama’s most important issue to deal with this year is the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.” I also think the oil spill is the biggest issue to worry with this year because of the ocean life that is dying and the polluted water. I do not agree with Kristin C. when she states, “I do not believe the president will be able to accomplish everything he has promised to do…” because I think Obama will get a lot accomplished this year. Even though he has had a slow start, I think he will make a lot of changes in the upcoming years. He has been doing great so far and staying up-to-date with his To Do List. Many accomplishments have been done and many more are coming.

In Bradley’s post he states “I think that President Obama’s most important issue to deal with this year is the nuclear activity in Iran and North Korea.” Although I agree, this is an important topic I think withdrawing from Afghanistan is more important. I think withdrawing is more important because if we withdraw from Afghanistan we can strengthen our army so if Iraq decides to use the nuclear weapon we will be more than ready. I also agree with Anna- Nicole that the economy is very important. She states. “We are close to having something close to the Great Depression.” This is true but I think Obama should deal with more global issues. If Obama deals with the Afghanistan war first then he can help the rest of the world.

  81. I agree with Kyla O. saying that Obama's biggest problem is dealing with Iran building a huge nuclear weapon, but I also think that the oil spill is a big matter. The reason think the nuclear weapon is more important is because that could be something that could be very cautious and deadly! Another reason is because we might not have know and if they were to have attacked we would be clueless and nothing to fight back with. I also agree with Jordyn K. because she said that Obama’s biggest thing is the oil spill. That is very important because it is killing so many fish and under life living but the nuclear threat is more important because we could be under attack any time, unlike the oil spill which could be cleaned up in about one year!

  82. Obama’s most important problem is very controversial. Some examples of what people think about this are from Shane R. where he said," I believe president Obama's most important issue to deal with this year would have to be the nuclear threats as well as the wars." Which I believe is true as well, because it could destroy the Earth. However, Hannah D. brings out," I believe that President Obama’s most important task to accomplish is fixing the oil spill." This is also a very worldwide know conflict, yet only in the Gulf of Mexico. Nuclear development, although, is possibly a worldwide destruction.

  83. Christian W. commented “I think the most important issue to deal with is the nuclear threats. Not only does this endanger the very existence of America but possibly other countries as well”. I agree that this is an important issue but there are many other countries that stand behind America and its view on nuclear weapons. So I think that the leader of a country would know better than to use a nuclear weapon because if they did they would be waging war against half the world.
I agree with what Lisa 7-8 who commented “The first thing on his list should be our own economy, because I think that if we are not stabilized in our own economy, then how can address problems that regard other countries ?”. I completely agree with her. How can we deal with all these world problems when we have so many of our own?

  86. Danielle in period 7/8 said, “I think the biggest challenge he needs to face is the nuclear threats from Iran and North Korea.” I agree with Danielle because I’m worried the United will have problems with those countries. I also agree with Alex B in 4/5 because he said that “if our country isn't able resolve the problem of them continuing to create nuclear weapons. They will wipe out all of our soldiers; their weapons would be too difficult to hold off. This could be a similar bombing to 9/11 if we don't resolve this problem.” I agree with him because if we don’t solve this problem, then there is a huge possibility that there can be a similar bombing to 911 if we don’t solve this problem.

Alex says that “if our country isn’t able to resolve the problem of them continuing to create nuclear weapons, they will wipe out all of our soldiers; their weapons would be too difficult to hold off.” Also, I agree with Montana H. when saying that the nuclear threats are the biggest issue because “nobody knows much about it.” Also, I agree with her when she says “the people in Iran will answer very few questions about the possible weapon” and that “they are still producing nuclear fuel,” meaning that Iran is suspicious. Next, I agree with Demetri C. who believes that Obama will not accomplish everything he is planning to do “because one person cannot do such a great deal of things in a mere two years.”

Taylor W. 4-5 said, "I believe that President Obama’s most pressing issue this year is nuclear threats from Iran, because if they actually have nuclear bombs being created and if they bomb us it would start a nuclear war" I completely agree with this statement. President Obama needs to attend this matter immediately. Hannah D per 4-5 "I believe that President Obama’s most important task to accomplish is fixing the oil spill" i totally disagree with this statement. I think it is a important matter to attend to but not as important as the nuclear threats.

I disagree with Francis P of 4-5 when he states "I believe that the oil spill by B.P. is the most important issue he must deal with because its affecting us world wide due to fuel being expensive, and also because he has to spend so much money on the spill during our economic crisis." I disagree with Francis because even though the oil spill by B.P. is a very big issue, I think that the nuclear threats are bigger threats and issues for Obama.

  90. I agree with Lisa V. from period 7-8 when she said, "I believe that the most urgent issue President Obama must get under control in this year is the economic crisis." Although I do not think this is the most important issue, it is definitely very urgent, and President Obama needs to control it. Morgan R. from 4-5 posted, "I think that President Obama's most important issue this year is the nuclear threats from Iran and North Korea...If we don't stop them then our country and the soldiers who fight for us will be in danger." I completely agree with this because if Obama doesn't do anything about these threats, it could lead to something worse. If they are building a nuclear weapon to use against us, i agree, we will all be in danger.

  91. I strongly agree with Rachel M when she says,”On the other hand, I think that the President will accomplish most of his goals, but not all of them.” Because, I also agree that Obama will be able to accomplish some of his goals but defiantly not all of them. I believe that if he outs the effort into it he will be a successful leader. I also agree with Delaine H when she says, “I think Obama’s most important issue to deal with is the nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran.” I agree with her that Obama does have to worry about the nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran the most, because he doesn't know when they will attack and by not knowing that puts us in jeopardy. I know he also has economics to deal with but, I think he should put this threat first.

The best he can do is try to work on them and make progress."I agree with Harrison because Obama has too much to do with the nuclear threats.

  93. I agree with Eric 4-5 when he said, "Personally Obama’s most important issue to deal with this year is the nuclear activity from Iran and North Korea ...I believe this issue is going to be one of the most ongoing problems." I agree with him completely because little do people know if multiple nukes are detonated there would be multiple problems globally. It is almost selfish to say that we should ignore and focus on our own problems because if we do those countries will possibly use their weapons and it will be too late. Chandler 4-5 stated "I think Obama's most important issue to deal with this year is the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico." I disagree with this statement because BP and Trans-Ocean should be held responsible. I do think Obama should pressure BP to clean all of the oil up. Also the oil spill is bad for the environment nukes are 10 times worse.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I agree with Jordyn K about the oil spill and its dangers. She said, "The oil spill lasted for so long that it effected more than just the gulf, it effected the world". I completely agree with what Jordyn K said because the oil spill is a big crisis, but it's not getting as much attention anymore. We used to see comercials showing ducks or other animals covered in oil, with pictures of the crisis. But because of the more recent events, the oil spill topic is just not as important anymore in the eyes of the world, even though most of it got cleaned up.

However, while I respect Nate J.H.'s comment, I strongly disagree that Obama would be able to accomplish everything. He siad, "...he may just pull it off without a re-election." I highly doubt he would be able to pull off everything he has set out to do before he is out of office. Sure, I believe he can possibibly accomplish some of his problems, but not all. I think that he would only be able to do everything if he got re-elected.

  95. I agree with Harry P, "Do you think the President will be able to accomplish everything he has set out to do? Why or why not?

No, I do not. There is just too much to do. There are too many problems to solve in the two years he has left as President. The best he can do is try to work on them and make progress." The president does have too much to handle and probably will not accomplish everything he is set out to do. This could impact us and make us angry at some of the problems he said he would "try to his best ability," to handle. Ofcourse he is not going to get everything done, there is just no way.
Next, Raphael U. stated, "I think that Obama’s most important issue is the nuclear problem with Iran. The reason why I think that is because if Iran keeps on producing nuclear fuel and refusing to talk to the U.S government then we could have a serious issue. Also ever since the Iranians nuclear program started the Israeli government says that “It’s a threat to their existence,” and Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says that he wants to “wipe Israel off the map.” I would truely have to agree with him. Threats with the nuclear arms would have to make the president fear about things that could potentially harm us and cause him to stumble. However, I do think the president is a very capable man, he is only one person. Nuclear threats could also lead on to other promblems accuring day after day. President Obama hopefully will get a grip on the threats of nuclear arms in Iran.

She said "I think the biggest challenge he needs to face is the nuclear threats from Iran and North Korea" I disagree with this because I do not think Obama needs to focus on that first. I think this because the oil spill is about our country and that problem should come first and then he could fix problems with have with North Korea.

Also, I believe that we should investigate more on the nuclear threats before wasting time to stop them. Liam O. said, “I think Obama’s most important issue is the oil spill…” I completely agree with Liam because the oil spill is hurting the animals and the people in the environment. It is also increasing the recession because all the fishermen are unemployed. I think that the most important issue he must deal with is the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. It is going to take years to completely clean the entire gulf if. Although stability and safety are issues in the Middle East, the oil in the gulf can spread to the Atlantic Ocean or the Caribbean Sea and not only be a problem for Mexico and the United States but for many other countries as well. Ralphie also said “-I do not believe that President Obama will be able to do everything he is set out to do during his presidency unless he gets reelected in 2012. He has simply overloaded himself with problem after problem after problem during his presidency. If he wants to be America’s president again then he better get himself organized and take one step at a time for each problem.” I also doubt that Obama will be able to accomplish everything he has set out to do unless he is reelected. We already are at war with Afghanistan and we need to keep all the soldiers, which is another reason why we should stay away from war. I also agree with Demetri C. I believe that the nuclear threats from Iran and North Korea are quite important, but I do not believe that it is the most important thing President Obama should be dealing with. I think that because I believe that the Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico is most important. When Eric stated that “Also I believe this issue is going to be one of the most ongoing problems to deal within this year and maybe longer.” I disagree with that because i believe that the threats will stop, but the Oil Spill will take the longest time and have the most problems.

Also, I completely agree with my classmate Hannah D. of period 4/5. She stated that “first of all, the oil spill isn’t just affecting the people. It is also harming the animals and land where the oil has been released.” I agree with that because it is true, the oil spill isn’t only ruining the ocean, but it is also ruining life in it. I also completely agree with another statement she said, which was “Overall, I predict that the president will not be able to accomplish all of his goals from lack of time.”. I agree with that because i also do believe he will not finish all of his duty’s in his time of presidency because he has too many problems.

  109. Hannah D in 4-5 said that "I believe President Obama’s most important job is the fix the oil spill." which i disagree and agree with. I disagree because i think that the suspension on a nuclear weapon is a bigger issue. I agree because i think that the oil spill is a bigger issue because it could get worse and ruin more and more oceans and sea life. She also said "I do not think that President Obama will be able to accomplish all of these tasks." which i completely agree with. And further into her comment you will read that she said that the issues he has are "time consuming" which i think is completely true. I agree and disagree with her comment. Also Kristen C in period 4-5 said, "I think Obama's most important issue to deal with this year is the plummeting economy because many people every day are losing their jobs, no longer buying houses, or desperately trying to sell their houses. People today are worried about if we are going to fall into another great depression, and if it gets any worse, than our country is going to panic" and i disagree. Obama recently helped this country from falling into a great depression, like before, and helped the economy in its long path on getting better. I know this may take a couple of years, but at least it is improving. I do think that Kristen is partly right because that is one of the main problems, but there are other problems that are worse.

  110. I Agree with Shane R. on the nuclear threats and the wars going on in the Middle East. I also agree when he said, “The president had to make all the final choices and already has too much stuff on his hands to be dealing with.” The president has made too many promises to the people of America, and now that he’s president he can’t keep some of the promises that he told the people of America that he would do. I also agree with Stefano M. on the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico when he said “It is going to take years to completely clean the entire gulf if we work hard enough.” The oil spill has caused so many problems for the U.S and other countries in the south also the oil spill has had a huge affect on our wildlife.

  111. President Obama has a lot of issues and we might not all agree but there are a few comments that I would like to point out, 4-5 Anna Nicole said, “I think Obama's most important issue to deal with this year, is the economy. We are close to having something close to the Great Depression.” While I agree with her, the economy is a huge issue, I would have to say that we are not close to something like the great depression. Things do look bleak but not as bad as the great depression, and 7-8 Ivan G. said, “Obama's most important issue to deal this year would probably be the nuclear threats from Iran and North Korea. If they were really creating nuclear weapons the world would be at risk” I agree with Ivan because if either Iran or Korea got hold of a nuclear bomb it could be catastrophic, they would have a target, I don’t think it would be the whole world but considering our past with both countries, it would most likely be us.

  112. I agree with 4-5 Kristen C. in that the national debt and economy is President Obama’s biggest problem. Though, I do agree with 7-8 Kyla about strengthening our relationship with China. China is far from anything even coming close to an ally and we need to become better acquainted. For all those who think that possible nuclear threats or the oil spill are the biggest problems, look at it this way. We can’t fund all of the solutions if our economy is so bad. We have no money to pay our current debts as it is. We can’t go around spending money we don’t have. Now for all those who think getting troops out of Afghanistan is the most important, think about this. If we don’t fix the problem of terrorism now, it will end in a similar scenario to 9/11, and the causalities in the Middle East are not that bad. 1270 in our efforts in 9 years compared to over 1,000,000 in 5 during WWII. Just think about it for a minute.

  113. Raphael U from per. 4-5 said, “I think that Obama’s most important issue is the nuclear problem with Iran.” I agree that this is very important, but I think there may have been some other issues that should come first. For example, Morgan H said, “In my opinion, the biggest crisis and the most important issue is the war in Afghanistan.” She also states, “Though, there are other issues are extremely important, I think that this particular issue is more substantial because both soldiers and citizens of Afghanistan are dieing overseas in the middle east, this is the most important at this point.” I agree with her on this. Obama should first try to finish or clear up what’s going on right now before starting what could become another war, but on the other hand, I agree with Aeron Y. who says "The nuclear weapons are threatening our whole nations.” This could affect everyone in the nation, verses just the soldiers in Iraq.

I think that she is right but their are more important things. But she is right in some things like obama needs to do more works for the people that needed because with no money the people could dye or other things. I think obama has the cappasity to do works but we also need to help him by giving works to people.

I agree with chandler alot because the oil spill is very important to save everything. but if contaminate less the oil spill will would not happen. we should contaminate less. so i think not only obama but us. we need to save the world.

  115. “…I believe that Obama’s most important issue that needs to be addressed right away is the chance of more lost lives. There are nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran, and a terrible war in Afghanistan.” said Aeron Y. from 4-5. With similar ideas, I strongly agree with her statement. If these nuclear threats prove to be true, they could definitely endanger more lives, even from our own nation. I think that saving lives should always be the top priority. Although I do agree with many comments, I also disagree with some. Natalie W. from 7-8 said, “…I think the most biggest issue is the oil spill near the Gulf of Mexico.” While this may seem true in some eyes, I believe that from the issues that Obama currently has to deal with, the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico isn’t as important as saving lives by stopping the nuclear threats. Even though the oil spill polluted and endangers the lives of creatures dwelling in those waters, the nuclear threats threaten the lives of humans and could weaken the economy with the cost of sending more troops out if our numbers decrease.

  116. I have to dissagree with Kristin A. when she stated, "I think Obama can accomplish all of the things he has set out to do because he is a strong leader and has the drive to do it." because he may have the drive and is a strong leader but unless he is re-elected as our President, he has too much on his plate and can't accomplish it all in the rest of his term. Secondly, I strongly agree with Delaine H. when she stated, "If they did attack, that would cause a whole new war, plus from all the money being spent fighting back and recovering from damage would bring the economic level down to rock bottom." because that is a very good point. Who wants another war? We are still over in Afghanistan, and we don't need to loose more troops.

  117. Taylor K. stated, “I think the recent oil spill off the Gulf of Mexico is the most important issue Obama has to deal with this year because it is the biggest and worst oil spill ever to be recorded in history.” I do agree with her that it is a big problem. Yes, there are sea creatures being killed and the beaches are being ruined, but I don’t think that the president’s attention should be just on that. I believe that the nuclear threat in North Korean and Iran need to be addressed as do the soldiers out in Afghanistan. We don’t want more lost lives and the risk of more people dead. Others people can clean the Gulf of Mexico. I agree with Kyla, she said, “The U.S. has already been fighting the Afghanistan war for many years, so this issue may bring up another war. Who knows who Iran will attack if they really are making this nuclear weapon.” We could be in a big pickle if we don’t do something right away. The soldiers want to come back home to their family instead of fighting. We don’t any more wars, we want our family and friends back. Nuclear weapons are a big threat also because that would mean lost lives of many different people in different countries. So, Obama really needs to be worried about the nuclear threats and the war in Afghanistan.

  118. 7/8 Liam O."We need to work as hard as we can to clean this oil spill so maybe it will be cleaned in 2 to 3 years." I agree with you because the ocean is already getting polluted, and with the oil spill its not helping at all. I also agree that it will take years to clean completely.Thats if we get the money to fund labor and find a safer way to drill for oil. We also need to hope that the marine life will be able to re-establish its self in time.

  119. I agree with Liam o. because the oil spill did affect a lot of the ocean, it made it hard to find fresh fish, and i disagree because president Obama will have to buckle down and get it done it will take longer then one year it will take four years at the most, he has to make more jobs, healthcare, end a war in iran.

  120. I agree with Harrison.p.100% because how do we know that the Middle East has a nuclear bomb or not, and it will take longer than a year to get it all done, we have to look at you war and end it till we can do anything else.

  121. 7/8 Austin R. I disagree with your statement "These problems must be the worst because of how crucial and critical of what may happpen if these threats come true", because like you state "if". I'm not saying that they will or won't use them against us. However the oil spill is already happening. Were as we have to be pro-active to the threats from Iran.

  122. Jordan said that, "The toughest thing Obama had to deal with the year was the oil spill." I see Jordan's point, but I think his main issue is the nuclear threats because that could kill thousands of innocent people. The oil spill has cause deaths to many animals but I think thousands of people over rule hundreds of animals. I'm definitely not saying animals lives aren't important. They are, but would you rather lose your brother or sisters' life, or some stray cats' that you found. Also, I personally don't think Obama will be able to accomplish ALL of the goals that he has set out to do because he only have a few years left and the things he set out to do are long term goals. He might be able to accomplish his goals if he gets re-elected for a second term.

  123. I think the most important issue to deal with is the Gulf oil spill. it is effecting the wildlife, the people living on the westcoast and the fishermen lives. this issue will take years to finish. we all arnet sure if the Irans are going to use there nuculear weapons on us i honestly dont think president Obama will finish both of these goals because they take alot of time, but im sure he will finish 1.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I agree with Yesenia.A that obamas biggest suspicion is nuculear weaponsfrom iran and korea. I also agree withalex.b that obama will not accomplish all of these gosls.

  125. I disagree on Lisa V’s comment on when she states, “I believe that the most urgent issue President Obama must get under control in this year is the economic crisis.” I think that all of the other problems could affect the economy, in effect to the damage the problem would already cause. For example, if Iran or North Korea hit the United States with nuclear bombs, then we would have a lot of deaths, great damage, and paying for that damage would lower the economy.
I also disagree with Liam O’s comment when he says, “I think Obama’s most important issue is the oil spill that is ruining the South East of the US.” I believe that is the least important problem Obama is dealing with because it is already clearing up. Even though it is ruining a part of our country, the nuclear bombs could weaken the whole United States. The BP Oil Spill is already being cleared up by many volunteers and the BP company itself.

  126. In the video that I watched, some of the events that were pictured were the Boston Tea Party- in event in which three ships docked into the Boston Harbor. The colonists did not want the ships there and urged them to leave but the king would not allow it because they had not paid their fair. This made the colonist very upset and so they disguised themselves as Indians and snuck onto the ships. Once they were on the ships they threw the tea overboard. In their punishment the Boston Harbor was closed until farther notice.
Also in this video I saw picture of the Stamp acts. In this act to tax newspaper, licenses and colonial paper products. Pictures and small video clips showing battles were shown in the video. These pictures and videos showed small scenes from the wars and how they would fight.

These are the things that I saw in the blog video.
